BALONEY

Blame Reid for the inaction in Congress.
A dozen or more bills sent to the Senate
Languish there in a kind of limbo fate.
Oust all stallers to our nation's progress;
Never hope they can provide solutions,
Except to spend more funds in the billions;
Yet our 'border' problem has no redress.

LOVE THE GAME

Life on Earth is like a 4-day golf tournament:-
Overcast skies, hazards from moment to moment.
Vexed by backache and cramps, one may not make the cut...
Ending the third day with another birdie putt,
There's a chance that one's name could join the leader board.
How in actuality has this ex-golfer scored?
Entering the final phase of this game called 'Life',
Great Expectations hail above the clash of strife!
"Art is long and Time is fleeting," all poets know...
Maybe someday a perfect piece I too could show;
Experts in driving long must also putt for dough.

INUTILE

In my opinion, the playing field is already 'level';
Not fair to impose more exactions on hardworking people.
Unusual fees and charges amount to taxation triple.
The greatest achievement of President Barack Obama
Is to make citizens leery of the socialist dogma;
Let us thank him for resolving a recurrent dilemma...
Extend help judiciously; Each soul must face his own Karma.

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND

Neighbors--who at first blush perceive each other with distrust
Only to find out when wildfire approaches that they must
Mutually assist themselves in extinguishing the blaze--
Are thereafter bonded as friends for the rest of their days.
Now we see ISIL march to Baghdad with hostile intent:-
If Iran and Iraq unite to halt ISIL's portent,
Sunni and Shiite may have finally found common cause
And haply their long-standing feud may soon come to a close....
Now let us survey Mother Earth's status in our cosmos:-
In our Milky Way galaxy there are countless planets;
Scientists surmise ETs could be like little hornets,
Like bacteria or viruses unseen by naked eyes,
A pox or curse so that every first-born human child dies;
No nation in this small planet of ours can stand alone.
Death to all mankind, if we can't unite and fight as one!

SHAME

Strip Sharia of its barbaric provisions!
Homo sapiens is but one race, no exceptions;
Allah looks at the soul of each individual:-
Male, female, black, white, brown, rich, poor, all are equal;
Each and all need only pass His Test Spiritual!

OMNIPRESENCE

Of course, Our God Almighty is Omnipresent.
My suspicion is that many clerics resent
New Age truth seekers who say God is everywhere.
In fact, we are all linked to Him, but do we care?
Pervasive and Immanent, each of us He Knows!
Rebellious souls, He counts our triumphs and our woes...
Each anguished cry and prayerful whisper, He Hears--
So many helpless, desperate people in tears,
Each second countless precious souls fall, yet He Waits;
Next time these fallen ones might carve much better fates:-
"Come back Home to Me," God says, "when you're purified."
"Earth-life schooling can teach you to be deified...."

SATAN'S ROLE

Some Muslims say that the West is evil
And Uncle Sam is himself the Devil;
Thus, their dreaded 'jihad' is 'justified'.
Alas, mass killings have spread far and wide!
Now one may ask why are these acts allowed?
Surely these madmen must by God be cowed....
Reminded of spiritual verities,
Our souls' victory Our Lord guarantees;
Let these brainwashed barbarians break God's stern command--
Eternal fire awaits--and His Avenging Hand.

DEUS VULT

Disgraced before men's eyes,
Entrapped by his own lies;
Unshielded from public
Scorn, thus ends his term's flick.

Vex not the populace,
Untruths do leave their trace;
Let Justice rule instead,
The Righteous are not dead.

OUR FATHER

On Father's Day, let us not forget Our Father...
Use not His Name, however, to commit murder!
Religion may amongst diverse peoples differ;
Faith, though, can't justify killing another.
Ambition and Lust for Power are Satan's tools;
That 'global caliphate' scheme concocted by fools
Has no chance of being attained by 'terrorists';
Endure or escape from these savage extremists...
Reflect today on World Peace, Our Father insists!

Sad Mother Earth is plagued by human greed;
Environmental abuses now breed
Red algae, huge hurricanes, and disease.
Polluters must slow down and take heed, please!
Escape, we all know, is not possible;
Nowhere to go, so let's be sensible.
Those snakes swallowing their own tails are US--
Stupider than the tyrannosaurus!

ONE GIFT

One gift unique is given to each person on this planet;
Nobody could bestow this power except God, Our Father.
Enlightened Ones like Gautama Buddha, Christ, and Mahomet
Gift-wrapped them in various hues, each as good as every other:-
In every material package, God placed an immortal soul
Free to pursue the Lord's Beacon or to heed some siren's call,
To soar higher than the angels--or fall down into Hellhole...!

CHARISSE

Continue to improve your skills in this techno age,
Have confidence in your own strengths, in your self image.
Allow your own good common sense to guide your judgment;
Review past errors or missteps with calm detachment.
Imperfect human beings, indeed-- all of us are...
Stay close to God, then, Charisse, for He is never far;
Strive on, He will open wide Sweet Success' door ajar;
Endure Life's storms, you'll fulfill your dreams and pluck your star!
