ARPEGGIO

Am I receiving a message for our leaders, Lord,
Regarding the Nigerian schoolgirls:- "Belay the sword...!"
"Pursue Boko Haram and Abubakar Kefau,
"Entice them with kid gloves, shelve iron fist and sharp claw,
"Give in to the kidnappers' greed for more currency;
"Get the girls back unharmed thru gentle diplomacy."
Indeed, vengeance is not by us to wreak, only by You.
Our hope--no imbroglio, just a light arpeggio...

WHY NOT NOW?

Why not give veterans a much better health card?
Helping them now, not later, should not be too hard;
You'll investigate...when will it end? Months ahead!
"No need for grass when your horse is already dead!"
Our wounded and/or ill soldiers need timely care;
To let them languish until they die is UNFAIR!
No soldier coming home from the wars is unscarred;
Our nation's help should never be delayed nor barred.
Whoever fudged our vets' "waiting time" should be tarred!

AWAKE

A failed socialist State's gambit
Will, I hope, jolt Barack a bit.
A 'level field' is just a dream;
Karma disallows such a scheme;
Each soul must cross his assigned stream.

UNDAUNTED

Undaunted by crises after crises occurring,
Not seemingly troubled by low approval scoring,
Determined to look 'cool' despite widespread disarray;
Accountability whitewashed and hidden away,
Uncover more bureaucratic delays and abuse--
No action until investigation 'ends'; No use
To 'whistleblow'; No relief from a regime inept...
Expect us:- To trash the "leading from behind" concept,
Dismiss amateurs; Righteous leaders, we will accept!

JUBILANT

Jubilant Republicans toast to the Democrats' defeat;
Underdog conservative candidates in last elections
Bludgeoned their rivals; Hence, the GOP's vict'ry is complete?
I think not. VA bureaucrats hid dilatory actions;
Lame duck's failed policies are still firmly in place, case by case.
And the nation's economy is obviously in malaise.
Now is the time for all parties to unite and compromise;
To be jubilant while poor Uncle Sam suffers is unwise.

GOD KNOWS

Got lost in our asphalt jungle
Or caught in a tangled bungle?
Don't mumble excuses, don't spin;
Knots can be slashed, you can still win...
No need for prevarication:-
Our God has an apt solution;
Whenever there is Injury,
