Appearances are indeed deceiving;
Christ at birth knew what He'll be receiving--
Uniquely urgent task of forgiving...
Thus, he was born and must live a human,
A Jew, not even a high-born Roman.
But why should the Almightiest Being
Obey the judgment of the unseeing?
Viewing future days, Infant Jesus saw
ENLIGHTENMENT that from His Blood will flow...
