TRAVESTY (II.)

They sweat and groan, people of humble birth;
Reborn to learn and labor more on Earth.
At times, they vaguely recollect their past--
Vast landholdings and wealth that did not last...
Endure your learning status, Skep, old friend,
Since Life's halcyon days also must end.
Tomorrow you might find yourself the slave,
Your worldly goods all mould'ring in your grave.
