Cronyism plagues powerful politicians,
Robs taxpayers' funds, hoodwinks naïve civilians;
Outwardly showing concern for the downtrodden,
Making sure ill-gotten wealth is kept well hidden;
Niggardly, laggardly aiding Vets bedridden
If not dead or dying in some dirty alley...
But the Powers-that-be in Washington, D.C.,
Unbeknownst to the citizens of this country
Shall keep fav'ring cronies, hence never fair nor free!
