Election night had its nerve-wracking ups and downs,
Undoubtedly, the TV news caused doubts and frowns.
Pro-Democrats thought Trump had little chance to win;
However, at past midnight the margin turned thin...
Oppressed, forgotten people did turn out to vote--
Rejected the current regime with a BIG NAUGHT!
In many homes (and pubs) the hoi polloi gathered--
A vict'ry celebration none could have smothered !
