Endure for a fleeting present then become a 'yesterday';
Maybe one, five years from now--will they become vague memories...?
Placate the populace now with real battlefield victories!
Our weaponry can vanquish our foes in the blink of an eye!
Reducing them to 'manageable' groups will not satisfy
A citizenry still scarred by that Twin Towers incident...
